Call for proposal: "(We want to) beehivemind"
This project is about emotional sharing, social composition and it's a call for partecipation in the future of dharma.
The project will be a choral album, out in the beginning of the next year: we don't like to simply call it a "compilation", because we suggest you something in order to have a unique theme, taken from different authors.
The last year is about to pass: some friends have found their own way apart from dharmasound, some others are still near us even if they are involved in other projects.
We found this label it's about a beehive, with several different musicians and artists acting their own way at the same time, but producing an unique "fil-rouge" that is, simply, our "honey".
(We like to think it's honey, after all: it's certainly not "money", you know... :-)
Then we like to start the new year looking at this honey, and looking at the social organization of some insects culture: ants, bees, and so on.
This is the quest:
# do you like to be in an original album with many different genres and pieces, all of them composed from the same starting point?
# do you want to enjoy music with us?
if the answers are all yes, you should read our instructions down:
The first topic is the strong social interaction (we think primary at ants): you should compose a piece regarding social interactions, inspired by ants-colonies, or beehives, and so on.
The second topic you should use as an inspiration is the honey "transformation": we start from raw sounds to produce emotions.
Further we provide to you a very short musical phrase you can use in any form if you want, and IN THIS .ZIP you could also check some images from ants colony and bees, just to use them as an inspiration.
The deadline for the acceptance of your composition is December, the 24th at 23:59 January, the 11th at 23:59.
You could send us a link to your mp3 (please don't send directly mp3's!), and if we like your composition, we will ask for the original wav file too.
Please send us also:
1] a short biography of you (especially if you have not collaborate with dharmasound),
2] a short technical description of your piece (in english, but we accept also shhet or any other description),
3] a short line to describe your piece or the image you used as an inspiration.
Thanks you very much, we hope you will enjoy this little fool joke with us!
